Grass 6.1.0 releasd at Aug 11th, 2006. the advanced functions attracted, meanwhile, I am now focused at the Linux recently, the combination of linux and grass would be a good choise for our gisor.

ps: Grass do not have a GUI, you could combine grass and QGIS to carry on your experiments.
